Long story short
Never enjoyed Minecraft until I tried it a while ago on pc with my gf (previous times were on console), we agreed to tried mods and I liked the game in that way, we went with bmc4, it was a matter of time to discover shaders and then realistic texture packs.
I like to play Minecraft when it becomes immersive.
I enjoy the views, discovering new stuff in modpacks or basic/simple stuff I didn’t know about the game.

I even learned how to set up a server after trying to set up one for almost 48 hours straight lol (error after error)
We already have a few worlds/servers we abandoned.

I recently made a new server with the modpack Homestead: A Cozy Experience.
We loved it, invited two more friends and we got into issues with server lagging. I created a support ticket, they fixed the lag with two main steps:
Turns out 24 chunks as view distance is too much :(
And they implemented some optimization mods/configs whatever.

Now this is not as immersive as I like.

Any recommendations to avoid sacrificing this much in the server?
