Budget AM4 build - thoughts on pricing and setup?

Hey,

I'm putting together a PC on a tight budget, buying mostly used parts since new prices are rough right now. Would love some feedback on whether the build makes sense and if the prices I paid are reasonable for the current used market.

The build:

Part Model Price
GPU MSI RTX 3070 Ventus 3X (already owned)
Motherboard MSI MAG B550 Tomahawk Max WiFi ~€100 used
CPU AMD Ryzen 7 5700X3D ~€200 used
RAM Crucial Ballistix 32GB DDR4-3600 CL16 (2x16GB) ~€130 used
PSU be quiet! Pure Power 12 650W €75 new
CPU Cooler be quiet! Pure Rock (already owned)
Storage Samsung 860 Evo 1TB SATA SSD (already owned)

Total: ~€505

Mainly going to use it for gaming at 1080p/1440p. Sticking with my SATA SSD for now since NVMe prices are insane.

Any feedback appreciated!

Hi,

I want to use these two RAM sticks together on my system:

  • G.Skill Trident Z Neo — F4-3600C16D-32GTZNC
  • G.Skill Trident Z RGB — F4-3600C16D-32GTZRC

Both are:

  • DDR4-3600
  • CL16-19-19-39
  • 1.35V
  • 16GB sticks

My system:

  • Motherboard: MSI MAG B550 Tomahawk
  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5700X3D

I want to use both sticks together in dual channel and ideally run XMP/DOCP at the full 3600 MHz speed.

Since the timings are identical, do you think this setup will work stable at full speed, or is there still a chance I would need to lower frequency/timings because they are different kits/models?

Thanks!
