Here is my line of reasoning for what the choices actually are…
Let’s say everyone was logical:
Everyone would know to pick red, because no one would pick blue, because why pick blue if you can guarantee you’ll live by picking red, and everyone else should be able to come to that conclusion because nowhere does it state someone who pressed red will die, so no one should pick blue with good reasoning because it just has unnecessary risk when you know everyone else is acting logically.
But of course, that relies on people being logical. So if you pick red you’re logical, and if you’re blue, you’re either not thinking hard enough, or you’re trying to save those people who aren’t thinking hard enough or thinking that people would in fact pick blue because they think similarly and thus you should just pick blue to avoid being criticized for “saving yourself” when in reality everyone had the option to save themselves without condition.
But I’m curious what the actual consensus is and everyone’s thought are, because if the majority is picking blue every time, then there must be something else going on, because if you had clearly pointed out that you’ll live by picking red no questions asked, then I’m thinking everyone would pick it because it just makes sense, but maybe that’s not what would happen?
