Black Clipping 4k UHD HDR 10 Calibration i saw some references to this test online for HDR near black performance, and i tried it on my gigabyte mo27q28g, but i dont see all the bars, maybe up to 92 only but its very faint.

Testing by review channels like monitors unboxed for this monitor said it has great near black performance, but they have hardware tools i dont have access to to measure such a thing. I made my friend with a different tandem oled monitor (the lg one, 27gx700a-b) do the same test and he also cant see all the bars till 68, he only sees some, even in a dark room, and even when running the video locally through mpc-be + madVR, since i saw some online references to try and do this to get accurate results.

So does this mean all tandem oleds have some level of hdr black crush, or does it mean that these tests are not accurate as the reviews tell a different story?

HDR mode selected does not seem to affect the result at all, i tried HDR 500 certified, HDR peak 1500, vivid, gaming, and used the windows calibration tool with each of them. No difference. My output dynamic range in nvidia control panel is also set to full.

Disabling or enabling vrr does not seem to matter. Lowering the refresh rate all the way down to 60hz does seem to matter and does make the bars more visible. i think i can see all the bars up to 68 as intended only on 60hz.

SDR black levels on similar tests are compeletely fine. this is an hdr only issue
