"You are in emergency mode" Help!!

There were some updates pending for the OS but Pop Shop threw up an error when it tried to process them, so I rebooted. And now it's in Emergency mode -- see picture.

I am not able to do anything here though. Entering the password starts to load the shell but that dies and it loops back into the Emergency mode screen. In the picture the top 4 lines visible show how far it gets.

Pressing Ctrl-D just loops around. Other than Ctrl-Alt-Del nothing that I type does anything.

Help, anyone?

Yoga Tab running Android 16: How to disable Google Voice Typing?

Voice Typing is so damned intrusive but I can't figure out how to turn it off. Anyone?

And before someone suggests googling it I can assure you that I tried. There are lots of suggestions for how to do it but none apply to Android 16 on the Yoga Tab. I've been trying various things for some time now and occasionally I'll try something that seems to mostly work. But then an update will be pushed out and Voice Typing is active again.

I'm waiting for delivery of an Aeon, my first EUC. A while back I came across a company that makes protective padding for several makes and models including the Aero, with the Aeon's coming soon. Unfortunately I lost the link and don't recall the company name. Can anyone help?

[edit] LOL as soon as I posted this I remembered the company name: Power Nobz. I'm leaving the post up though in case it helps someone else. Or in case the are suggestions of other companies making these.
