We were together for 9 months. Met on a dating app but it felt like we had known each other our whole lives. We talked for 2 months until we got together. It was like you see in movies. Talking every night, going on dates, planning for the future, just perfect. We had bumps and personal life issues but we always came back to each other at the end of the day.

Then one night he broke up with me over text, said he needed to work on himself. He never explained more than that. I was so convinced he was the one.

It was the one year anniversary of the breakup last week but it still feels like it was yesterday. I still feel like a wreck, even if slightly less. All I want to ask is, does it ever get better?
