Yesterday I made a post about water shooting up from my moms sprinkler system. People said they needed better pictures so I dug a hole and took some!

It is coming from where the black pipe and the white pipe connect. When any of the sprinklers were on that leaked, but when the section this area is in was on it shot from there like a geyser (see last picture). This is the only area it is happening.

Any idea on how to fix this?
Could a novice do this and what tools/equipment might they need?

Been helping my mom with some home issues. There were a few sprinkler heads I needed to replace cause her lawn people destroyed them... She mentioned another one shooting up like a geyser so I bought another head thinking it was that, but when I looked at it I'm not sure what is happening.
There is a small black L shaped pipe leading into a white pipe lower in the ground and another black leading further into the lawn that is just shooting water when turned on. Let me know if better pictures are needed!

Any idea what this might be or how to fix it? Is it something someone with a little handyman knowledge and youtube can do or should I get a professional?
