Hey everyone,

I’m posting this as a heads-up and to see if anyone else at the La Maison party yesterday (May 1st) experienced something similar, and full disclosure, AI helped me to write this.

I’m an experienced party-goer and I know my limits very well, but yesterday something happened that felt completely different from just "having a few too many." I suddenly lost total control of my body and felt an uncontrollable urge to fall asleep. I barely made it away from the crowd and ended up passing out between some cars nearby.

The details:

The "Drop": It happened very fast. One minute I was fine, the next I was losing consciousness.

The Location Win: Right as my consciousness was fading, I had just enough presence of mind to send my live location to my friends before I passed out. If I hadn't done that, they wouldn't have found me tucked away between cars in the dark.

Symptoms: Heavy nausea/vomiting for a couple of hours and a complete "blackout" state that lasted about 3-4 hours. I could hear people talking to me but I couldn't form words or move.

Recovery: Feeling groggy today but otherwise okay.

Note on the cause: I used Gemini (AI) to help me talk through these details and write this post. Based on the 3-4 hour timeline, the sudden "lights out" feeling, and the recovery today, the AI conversation helped me determine that the symptoms align very closely with GHB/GBL rather than a typical alcohol blackout.

I was lucky enough to get home safe and I still have all my belongings, but it was a very scary experience. Did anyone else witness anything suspicious or end up feeling weirdly "knocked out" yesterday?

Stay safe and look out for each other
