I have a Frigidaire Gallery Dryer Model GLER341AS2, bought used off of Facebook marketplace. Had to change the cord from a 3 prong to a 4 and found a melted terminal port around one of the hot wires.
Bought a new terminal port, but it wasn’t a kit and didn’t come with new terminals to swap out the old with.
My questions are: Is it safe to use the “burnt” looking terminal? Am I able to clean the damaged one with acetone or isopropyl alcohol and reuse it? Or should I just get new terminal pins?
I’m new to fixing things, so any advice would be greatly appreciated.
