In accident during Uber Eats delivery, questions and advice needed...

UPDATE: Thank you all for your advice. I have advised her to keep telling the truth, and hope State Farm doesn't dump her. I also advised her of Uber's insurance and what she need to do for that. FYI, she is on our policy as a college student and we didn't have any idea she did Uber eats too (our cars are covered for it, not hers).

fyi: LOOKING FOR ADVICE ONLY, NOT SCOLDING PLEASE....SHE KNOWS SHE DID WRONG, BOTH WITH THE ACCIDENT AND WITH THE CALL TO UBER....

My daughter drives for Uber Eats too. She was in an accident last week that was her fault while bringing food to a customer. Thinking she was doing the right thing, she called Uber to let them know the delivery would be late due to an accident that was her fault, and to ask what else she should do. They told her to get a hold of her insurance company (State Farm) and Uber would deal with the late delivery. So she got in touch with State Farm, did a police report, etc etc. All the usual stuff.

Now she just found out today that UberEats also called State Farm "on her behalf" and told them the story. State Farm is not happy. She hadn't planned on telling State Farm she was delivering (yes, a lie by omission, I know). But now that Uber let the cat out of the bag, there is in State Farm's words an "investigation" and they won't cover her repairs or her rental car until it's completed.

Mind you, she already dropped off her car at the repair place and got a rental, covered by State Farm per the rental car place.

BTW no one hurt and her car is driveable, but the other party's car isn't. She did NOT have any extra insurance coverage for food delivery, just the basic coverage from State Farm.

Now without telling me what she should have done, because it's already done, can someone who was in the same or similar situation (with State Farm or something like that) tell us what happened at that point? Was it eventually covered? What hoops were there? Will they hit her up for the rental fees now or make her take her car home from the repair place?

And if she didn't give Uber the permission to call State Farm "on her behalf", is that an issue? I wouldn't think so but....

Don't tell her to call State Farm please, because she already has and they are all wrapped up in the Uber thing, even though she made it clear it was food, not a passenger. And Uber "support" is useless after multiple calls and emails.

Again, I understand all the things she did wrong and don't need to hear about them again. I just want to know what she should do from here, and what she should expect.
