Hi, I have a Lenovo Ideapad 1 14IGL05 PC that's been incredibly slow lately, and someone on this subreddit recommended I change the OS. I'm using Windows 11, and when you see my PC's specs, you'll understand why it's practically unusable. I mainly use it for Google Chrome, Word, Spotify, Winscribe (it's a VPN), and OneDrive (this last app is crucial because I need my files in the cloud, especially my photos and videos, even though I know it uses a lot of resources). I also have a terrible WIFI connection.

So, I'm thinking about upgrading to Windows 10 (which came pre-installed; somehow I managed to access Windows 11 through Windows Update, I don't even understand how this PC can run it), or ChromeOS (I'd rather not mess with Linux; it's my main computer, and I'm not in a position to buy another one right now). My specifications: 4GB RAM 119GB SSD Intel Celeron N4020 1.10GHz Processor Intel UHD Graphics 600 (512MB) So, would Windows 10 or ChromeOS be better?

Hi, I'm having several performance issues with my PC, and I was wondering what I can do to make it run better. I've already checked the basics:

I can't upgrade the RAM. Two days ago, I ran DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth and sfc /scannow. I try to keep the SSD from filling up and frequently delete junk files (although a few days ago it suddenly ran out of storage and it was very difficult to recover a few GB). I only use essential applications (Chrome, Word, Spotify, OneDrive) and periodically check the Task Manager to see what's using memory.

However, for the past couple of days, it's been almost unbearable to use this PC. It shuts down unexpectedly (I haven't encountered any BSODs yet), and it freezes a lot.

My specifications are: Processor: Intel Celeron N4020 CPU 1.10GHz RAM: 4GB Graphics Card: Intel UHD Graphics 600 (512MB) Storage: 119GB Windows 11 25H2

Is there anything I can do to improve performance?
