Hey everyone,

I’ve been looking into Western Governors University (WGU) and wanted to hear from people who’ve actually attended or are currently enrolled.

A little about me: I work full-time and I’m also a reservist in the Army, so flexibility is a big factor for me. I’m planning to go for a cybersecurity degree, and I already have my CompTIA Security+ certification.

How was your overall experience? I’m especially curious about things like:

• How manageable the self-paced format is with a busy schedule
• The quality of the coursework and instructors/mentors
• Whether having Sec+ helped you move faster through the program
• How employers view a WGU degree (especially in cybersecurity)
• Any pros/cons you didn’t expect going in
• How you paid for school (especially if you didn’t use Post-9/11 GI Bill or Montgomery GI Bill)

I’d really appreciate any honest feedback—good or bad. Trying to figure out if it’s the right fit for me.
