I have a shrimp tank and so water quality is highly important. I noticed my tank suddenly had a major swing in nitrates and after chasing the problem for a few days, I tested the tap water only to find out it has dangerous levels of nitrates in it suddenly. The water here has always been perfect for shrimp, a small blessing, so this was a huge surprise.

The first pic is my tank water, 2nd is the tap and 3rd is from bottled water.

I was wondering if anyone local to Centereach/Setauket area that has test kits, could test their water and see what it reads? TIA!
