Hello, sorry if my explanation is not clear, english is not my first language. I have a litter of four 15day old kittens, and since last week they are loosing more and more fur, one is even nearly bald (all happened in a week span). I did go to the vet, and he isn't sure of what is it either, but he said it's probably not fungi or ringworm. He did prescribe some type of bath with cortisol(? I'm not what sure what it is.)
They have no mom (she died). She is a stray, and we don't have any sphynx strays around so i don't think it's genes.
I have been taking care of them since they were newborns (feeding them, toilet etc). Since loosing their fur, their behaviour didn't change, they are really active when awake, eat well all that stuff. I keep them warm more now since they might be cold without fur, but no other change. They have no sign of weakness or anything, I check on them really often during the day.
They have no crusts, no red circles on their body or any inflammation. They aren't scratching themselves either. No fleas or mites. But two of them are loosing more fur on their spine, which the vet said might be from an allergie, but since all four of them have it he is not sure. One of them started loosing fur first, then the other kittens followed (the baldest one in the picture).
I have been trying to find similar cases of the internet but I haven't found anything.
Has it happened to anyone before? It's not my first time fostering kittens, i have had many many cats, but I never came across something like this.
