Boox Go or Palma
I’m in the market for a new eReader. I’ve introduced my sister to reading, so I’m planning to gift her my Amazon Colorsoft. I also have an iPad Mini for reading at night, but I often find myself getting distracted by social media.
I’m considering getting a Boox device, but I’m still undecided. Can you recommend one? I once read and finished book (Court of Thorn and Roses) on my iPad Mini during a 3-hour flight to Puerto Rico, and it felt quite uncomfortable for a while.
Depending on the book, I can spend hours reading at night. This is when I usually do most of my reading, but sometimes I like to take it out during my lunch break.
I love the portability of the Palma because it’s the size of a phone. I can easily carry it in my bag and be on the go. However, I’m concerned about whether the Palma is suitable for long-term reading. Knowing me, I might find the text condensed or too narrow, especially for a long book like Kingdom of Ash, which could be overwhelming.
On the other hand, the Go is noted for its feel like an actual book (which I appreciate), but I’m curious about its portability. Can it be read one-handed? What are your experiences traveling with it? On the beach? Plane? Work?
Any advice you can provide would be greatly appreciated!
