No, really, am I? I'm level 150 and have been playing since last September. There are plenty of things I love about the game that no other co-op game does, mainly how there are multiple factions, the limitless build creating and mostly how you can approach missions from multiple different angles. I consider myself above average at the game. I play D10 basically ever mission and at most get, say, two deaths.

Now I'm not trying to "flex" because there are players far better than I and besides who cares, but as it stands I don't feel as if either the game itself or Arrowhead know how to properly challenge their pros. There is a difference between annoying difficulty and good difficulty. War strider ragdolls? Vox engines clipping through buildings? Annoying. Spore bugs exploding into clouds that buff their friends making you have to rethink your approach for attack? Might be unpopular to say here but thats good!

I've been accused of being a ""glazer"" more times than I can count because I defend SOME of Arrowheads decisions, but don't get me wrong, I take the piss out of them all the time. I am not an Arrowhead loyalist in the slightest. I ask for buffs, I want some things to be better, but I am also responsible enough to admit that there are aspects that are a bit overtuned that feel effortless to use at times.

Anyways, the point is some of the design decisions I defend (which aren't a ton) put me at odds with the """crydiver""" audience who want the game to be seemingly easier. I dont want the few good balance decisions that moderate player power to be sacrificed for the sake of those who want the game to satisfy some lackluster power fantasy. I want to feel as if Arrowhead actually recognizes my skill as a helldiver and can give me an adequate challenge I can overcome and remember, but their idea of making the game harder is the same as just making it irritating. The precedent that they've set has unfortunately left genuinely good suggestions often being dismissed as "glaze". I am open to this discussion
