I got a old broken 3ds that wont turn on from a friend of mine. Even before trying to fix the 3ds i realized that the 3ds gets warm under the power button. I tried other batteries that are guaranteed fine and it still does get warm. After fixing the 3ds (it was the speaker cable) and turning it on, the console still stayed warm. I also realized that the console stays warm when its completely turned off while its rapidly discharging the battery till completely discharged.

couldnt find anything anywhere. Does someone have an idea what the problem is
