Why did the Ayn Odin 3 disappoint me?

Why did the Ayn Odin 3 disappoint me?

Unpopular but honest opinion: Why did the Odin 3 Max disappoint me?.

For $487 total, I expected the finishing to be excellent, but my unit has the following issues.

- M2 button is very noisy when the console vibrates: I turned off vibration because it's very annoying. It seems the button is loose. Ayn offered to send me a backplate. I'm still waiting and they haven't replied.

- Temperature issues: my console easily reaches 90°C with demanding emulation; it seems the sensors read temperatures incorrectly and the fan becomes very loud even in the "smart" setting.

- Loud fan: in my case the fan produced a high-pitched whistling noise, very annoying. That's two separate noises already. I play at night, so console noises bother me a lot.

- "Creaking" issues: it happens on the sides of the console, like the shell isn't properly fitted. Not very annoying but that's three different noises when I play at night without earphones.

- And worst of all, image retention for several seconds: when switching between apps I notice image retention as if white text or logos get "burned in"; I no longer use wallpapers with white areas for fear of burn-in.

I won't complain about the software because I'm aware the console requires many updates to grow up.

We're getting used to paying large sums for Chinese handhelds that have flaws they shouldn't. Should we be more demanding?.

My Odin 3 Max is back in its box and I'm still greatly enjoying the Thor Pro and the Retroid Pocket 5. What do you think? I just got a bad unit.
