I’m in my early 30s and recently had a lower molar extracted because of a cracked root. My dentist recommends getting an implant because of my age, but I’m honestly still hesitant.
I’ve dealt with tooth sensitivity for years, especially in my molars, so part of me worries about committing to implants even though I know they’re different from natural teeth.
I’m also nervous because one of my upper molars near the sinus area has always been sensitive when I’m dehydrated or stressed, sometimes even causing headaches.
So now I’m stuck between:
- getting implants
- trying a partial denture/flipper first
- or just waiting before deciding
For people who chose dentures or partials instead of implants:
- Are you happy with your decision?
- Do they get uncomfortable long term?
- Do you wish you had gone for implants instead?
And for people who got implants:
- Was recovery difficult?
- Any unexpected sensitivity or discomfort later?
Would really appreciate hearing real experiences before making a decision.
