So I’ll be doing an internship in Stockholm, Sweden in the later half of this year, and I’m wondering what type of payment should I use for the bus/metro etc.

As far as I know, there’s three types of payment:

I think the SL app is the most convenient one since I don’t need to carry an actual card. BUT I’ve seen lots people said the qr code sometimes won’t work well on the bus, I’m not sure if they fix this problem yet, but I’ll use the bus the most, so that’s why I’m worrying about it.

And also I’m wondering if I pay by credit card or like Apple Pay, would the ticket price be higher? Or it costs the same as SL app/ green card?

So I’m wondering what type of payment do people usually use for transportation in Stockholm?
