URGENT: Foster or Forever Home Needed for Okra (Tallahassee, FL)
Okra is still looking for a foster or adopter ASAP. She is currently boarded, and without placement soon, she may have to go to the shelter. Rescues are full and unable to take her.
About Okra:
• 4 years old, ~55 lbs (Treeing Walker / Bluetick Coonhound mix)
• Spayed, healthy, up to date, house-trained
• Extremely loving, intuitive, and people-oriented
• Total cuddle bug + also a great running partner
• Loves having a yard, not destructive when left alone
Best Fit Home:
• Experienced dog owner preferred
• Likely best as the only pet
• Good with people, unknown with cats
Important Notes:
• She barks (hound trait)
• Not a fan of car rides
• Has shown resource guarding with another dog (bones/hooves)
• Can have sleep startle, needs respectful handling while resting
• Not crate trained yet
In the right home, she is an incredibly loyal and loving companion.
She deserves a safe, stable home—I know her person is out there.
