1 wk stay recommendations with babies
Hi all :) My little family is looking to finally start traveling after a long time of parenting without any support or help nearby. My husband and I have been on two dates since my oldest son was born, he just turned two. So… we are really craving getting away and traveling again.
Looking for suggestions for a hotel or potentially a resort. Itll be myself, my husband, and our 2 and 1 year old boys. My husband and I used to travel to very undeveloped areas and loved exploring the culture, wildlife, and environment around us. Now.. with the kids, life is very different and we have to come back home for naps, have endless snacks on hand, cribs, car seats, etc etc. We realized that we really want it to be a relaxing trip for us and a break from the nonstop food prep, cleaning, etc.
Hoping to stay on or by the beach. Food readily available would be amazing. restaurant and buffet or quick to go options. Looking at San Juan because it seems to have access to so much but am open to other areas. The resorts I’ve checked out seem extravagant and way more than what we need and a lot more expensive because of it. We do not need a football sized pool and golf course and a club bumping music all night. All that stuff would be fine but I’m guessing that’s adding to the price tag.
A resort would be nice if it serves more authentic food and isn’t a cruise on land type vibe. Perhaps there’s a hotel out there that checks off these boxes.
We are planning to rent a car and want to explore old San Juan, El Yunque, Pig Highway and open to any other suggestions.
