Setting charge schedule Tesla Model 3
I wanted to keep my Tesla always plugged in, whenever the car is at home, as per the many recommendations I've read. So I tried setting a charging schedule to charge only on Saturdays, after midnight. The car isn't driven very much so that is all that is typically needed. It almost never gets below a 50% charge after charging to 80% in a week.
The problem is, after setting the schedule, and plugging in, the car immediately starts charging, and I have to manually stop charging. Waiting a minute or two, to see if it would stop charging, as someone else had suggested, didn't work either.
Is that the way the "schedule charging" function is designed to work?
I guess I could keep dropping the charge limit to 60%, and then raise back to 80% when the charge drops below 50%, but I'm thinking that might be bad for the car to do that?
Appreciate any insight anyone might have.
