Yeah im super disappointed in the weapons of this game coming from returnal. Makes it a big detractor for me. Like whys there no rocket gun, pylon thing, or globber like from returnal? 3 super cool ratchet an clank esque weapons that brought much needed variety. Now its basically me rerolling until i get a rifle with spectral and extra round because thats just the best. Whereas before it would hopping into a fresh run of returnal like ok will i get the full auto rocket rifle? Or maybe it will be the globber with explosive spit oo or maybe ill find the lmg with bleed damage! And then on top of that why they felt the need to remove the necessity to unlock attachments for the guns AND remove the ability to find higher level attachments like in returnal you could find explosive spit 1 2 3 and 4. think if the devs want anyone playing past the end credits then this is going to be an ESSENTIAL and NEEDED update. Because i shouldn't be 12 hours in having already found all 5 weapon types, that means on average i have another 15 hours or so of using the same exact gun.

Tbh surge 1 and 2 are some my personal all time fave souls likes. Im a fiend for games that have alot of upgrades and surges formula of finding perks an then finding higher tiers of said perks AND finding new armor parts all the time that you can upgrade AND finding new weapons all the time that you can upgrade as well hit the absolute nail on the head for me. Plus the whole system they designed for getting said armor parts and weapons is in my opinion *chefs kiss* it adds such a visceral punch of ooh that enemy has cool armor and a cool weapon, i want it. As well it being one of the few true sci fi souls likes i feel like it makes it unique. I wish there were alot more sci fi souls games along that style. What are your thoughts?
