My coach has me slowly working my way back to long cycle and jerk. I think next week or the week after it will be a full regular sport session. I must say I am enjoying this though since pressing is my easiest move.

Block 2 Week 1 Day 1
I usually train at 3:30 am but this phase calls for different weights that I don’t have in my work gym so I’m changing it up and training after work now. I still got in early and got 30 minutes of cardio this am.
18kg Snatch 2’ x 4 162 reps total
Double 24kg Strict Press 4 x 5 20 reps
Double 24kg Rows SS with swings 3 x 10
Last training day of my stabilization block. This block was all about not putting pressure on my knee until we got the results back from the doctor. I had a lot of fun with the heavy pressing and snatching! I can’t wait to get back to jerks in a few weeks though!

24kg One arm Clean & Press 2’x 3 92 reps
Double 36kg Strict Press 4 sets of 10 40 reps
Double 36kg Rows SS Swings 3 sets of 10 reps. Lots of weight moved! 9324kg moved this session!
I’ve heard so much hype about Angelo’s and how they are the best in the city and yesterday I got to experience one for myself finally! I have to say this is one of the best cheesesteaks I’ve ever had in my life! It’s probably my number one spot now but growing up 2 blocks from John’s Roast Pork they still hold a soft spot in my heart. So Angelo’s is 1 but John’s is definitely 1A for me. Next week I’m going to give Del Rossi’s a shot.
Much later start than normal for me, about 14 hours later than normal but I felt strong today!

Also got my knee looked at today and got a cortisone shot and full clearance to resume all activities!
Miles wanted to start learning OALC and Jerks. Today we practiced cleans and OALC. He still has a lot to learn but it’s a good start.
New Training block. Coach doesn’t want me doing anything to strain the knee until I get it looked at on Wednesday and get results back so for now it’s strict clean and press instead of jerk. Everything felt really light and good today. Time to build back stronger!
I had the pleasure and the privilege to be a guest on Dana Zornes podcast last night and I had such a great time talking all things kettlebell and kettlebell sport. We talked for almost 2 hours and could have easily talked two more hours. Dana is a great guy and I’m lucky I’ve had a chance to hang out with him in person as well. I’ve said it before but there is no community quite like the KB Sport community and I’m so happy to be a part of it!
