Birria Ramen from Birrieria Little Tijuana + a Pliny The Elder IPA.

Birria Ramen from Birrieria Little Tijuana + a Pliny The Elder IPA.

The pic got screwed because I was screwing with the editor trying to make it look cool or something. Whatever I did fucked it up. Birrieria Little Tijuana's on Magnolia & Lincoln a few streets away from Corona. This is the BEST Birria I've had outside of Ed Fernandez Birrieria whicvh is waaaaay in SD damn near at the border.

M&M Liquor on Indiana between La Sierra & Tyler now have Russian River Brewery. I dunno how long now, and I dunno if shit has changed. But anything Russian River, and especially Pliny used to be incredibly difficult to find. La Bodgea was the only spot in Riverside that had it for years and years.

$12.49 for the Ramen, and it has 1/2lb of Birria so it's a lot of food. They also now have chips which they make fresh. $3.50 for a good sized box and they were given to me at an almost burn my hand temperature. And the beverage was $6.99

This is one of the best meals I've had in 2026. The ramen is so good, the Consume is about perfect, and I learned today they have a chili oil which is spicer than their normal salsa. It's a very deep red and is fucking hot. Their normal salsa has a nice kick, this is maybe triple that. It's got a really nice flavor but the heat's high and it stick around a long time. I'm sweating from it now.

And Pliny's an outstanding IPA, it's not in my top 5 probably, but the last time I had one people were still camping out at La Bodega on delivery morning 2 hours before they opened to try and score one. It's really good, but I'd never wait 2 hours for a store to get a damn beer.

IMHO IPA's go really great with Birra consume.

I couldn't find any reviews on Google so I'm assuming this just came out. I've been in so cal 99% of my life so I see Tamaranido everywhere. But I can't say I've ever had it.

I'm not adventurous but I decided to try this. I did google and read tamaranido's sweet and sour and has some citrus and date notes. It smells interesting, I can't place it. As for the taste, I don't know what to compare it to. And I don't know what actual Tamaranido tastes like, so I don't know how close this is, or if it's even good.

It's interesting, the initial taste is smooth and a little sweet. There's a very foreign flavor on the backend. I don't hate it but I don't know if I like it either. It's very odd because it's so unlike anything else I've had.

There's some sweet and there's a slight sour. This might not make sense to anyone but me. But since I don't like trying new things, I think I might like this more than I actually do but my subconscious is telling me I don't like it lol. I'm overthinking each sip I take. This could probably grow on me. It's definitely not like any other energy drink I've had. So that's already a plus for it.

For reference: I hate all things berry, peach, banana, kiwi and most fruits that aren't citrus, pineapple, watermelon, apple or grapes.

As I've been taking more sips as I write this. My impressions's already improved over my initial one. I think I might add this into a semi rotation

I saw a Rizzler and fell in love with it, but it comes with a 25ah battery. I'm looking for a 60/72v mini bike that looks like a Rizzler and has a 35ah+ battery. I know E&C sells 35/45ah. But that would push the price from $2,700 to $4k+. I'd like to keep it close to $3k. I currently have a Road Runner Pro, which looks nice and I love zipping around on. But the Rizzler looks so much slicker.

I googled and don't see any threads on it anywhere. I came across this on Target's website, will be trying it as soon I run out of Fairlife. Assuming it makes comparable ice cream in taste/texture, 15g of protein and a 64oz jug's $4 so it would wind up being a solid amount cheaper for the folks here like me who make 4-5 pints of protein ice cream a week.

TL;DNR - I thought an ice cream maker with a compressor so I could make it on the spot would be better, so I sold my Creami and bought 1. I've used it for about a week, and am sending it back to Amazon and just ordered a Creami Deluxe.

I loved my Creami, it makes fantastic protein ice cream. My 2 big beefs were it's way too loud so I can't use it late night. And the mix-in feature absolutely pulverizes anything I add. The Whynter is super quiet and the mix ins come out perfect. Also, you don't have to make the base a day before. You can do a base and have ice cream about 20-30 minutes later. I ended up selling the Creami and bought a Whynter ICM-128WS.

The grass isn't always greener on the other side tho. The identical recipe I'd use in the Creami comes out far too airy. It can make 1.28qt, which is 2.5x more than a Creami pint. But, with the same recipe making what would be a pint in the Creami ends up barely fitting. It expands to the very top of the lid which should hold 1.28qt. That's how much air it's putting in it. It's closer to thicker whipped cream than soft serve. It tastes great, but I'd need to start making a custard base and/or using heavy cream instead of milk, which would shoot the calories for a pint from about 300 to well over 1000, and add a ton of fat.

And if I went the custard route, it would be a lot more work, and they say it's best if you put the custard base in the fridge for a day. Which would negate the fact you can make ice cream in 30 minutes lol. I've only used Fairlite whole milk in it, and that came out too fluffy. So 2% would be worse. They call this style Philly ice cream, but I think what I'm getting here is well beyond the consistency of a good Philly one.

I actually do like the texture of what it makes, but it's not what I'd want every time. And it melts almost instantly, so eating it right out of the machine like I always would with my Creami doesn't work well unless you're going at it like it's an eating contest.

I got the machine for $155 (open box) on Amazon, it's fantastic for the price. Even the normal price of $220s great. And with a proper custard base you can make 1.8qt. And I'm sure if a person's willing to make a custard base or use heavy cream it's gonna be fantastic. But I'm too lazy to cook a mixture and temper eggs and do extra steps. So after a little over a week. I just ordered a Creami Deluxe & I'm returning this to Amazon.

I'm still gonna hate not being able to use it late night, and not being able to effectively use mix-ins. But I discovered this machines trade offs were maybe worse.

Question to anyone who actually read all this, are there any mix-in's that the Creami doesn't completly evaporate? I would like some chunks of something in my pints but the stuff I've tried ended up destroyed.

I understand that's not what a frother is meant for. A neighbor's selling their Breville Frother. Out of curiousty I googled and AI says that a heated frother can be used to make a custard ice cream base.

But I'm curious how well it would actually work. Seems like it could be a decent method, if not way overkill. I'm wondering how being mixed it into a froth would effect it. I plan to leave it in the fridge for 24 hours. I'm going to use a salt and straw like base, but without sugar. I'll be using allulose and liquid allulose.

This is one of the most underrated spots out here, the Birria sandwich is so good. It's like a grilled cheese stuffed with Birria. That with fries and a bottle of Pacifico was just under $20. And it was super filling.

They only have 1 hot sauce but it's delicious and pretty damn spicy. It creeps up and makes my nose run. Everything I've had here has been absolutely fire.

I have a Road Runner Pro, I'm looking at Powerful Lithium's batteries. What would the range difference be between the 30/25ah going from 60 to 72v? I know I got a lot more range with my WKGTP due to it being 72v, that battery was only 5ah bigger. I see they have a 38ah battery but that's $$$. So I'm wondering how much further I could go jumping to a 72v controller with the smaller 25ah battery they sell.

Not sure how long this has been in my tire, it doesn't seem to be losing any air right now but I know I need to get it out. I have Stan Sealant in the tire. I feel like if I try to yank it out it'll probably rip a hole too big for the sealant to seal. I'm about 8 miles from home until tonight. I'd rather not have to push this (RRP) that far. If nobody replies with a suggestion I guess I'll just tuck it into the grove so it's not sticking out then ride home and hope for the best.
