My husband drove through the Bain Fire to get home

He was on the phone with me letting me know there's a fire and to look out the window. He was only 8 minutes away and a little nervous to be that close. We're close to evacuation warnings but hoping it stops soon for Gods sake they're taking forever to at least contain it.

This Bain Fire is insane & fearing for my home.

Who the hell wants to start all over again?! Never in my 31 years living in SoCal has a wild fire ever come this close to burning my home down. I live next to La Sierra park and only one street away from the evacuation warning. How are yall doing?

Evacuation warning. Want to leave but dad insists on staying

We are in area JUR-0184, which is currently in evacuation warning. I have all my belongings in a car ready to go. My cat is in his bag and my sister is ready to go in her car. My dad is saying the fire isn't a big deal and making joke about how our cars are gonna be white in the morning (ash started falling down). I have a 6 year old little brother i desperately want to take up to our mom's but he insists on staying because my dad says its fine. I feel like im over reacting but I dont know. Just needed to share how I feel. Hope everyone is doing okay

New driver, need good low populated areas to practice driving.

Hello all, I live in riverside and am just starting to drive (24y). I'm wondering if anyone has any recommended areas that would be good for practice. I have my permit and want to get comfortable behind the wheel before getting onto the main streets and more populated areas. Thanks for any help you can give!

Hi everyone, so coming back from class I found a Flyer on my bike this afternoon. Im not that Alternative or anything (just in case it was meant for someone) but I might go if I could get a buddy to go with me. It’s on campus, so if anyone is down to go with me, send me a DM

MSW Student Moving to San Bernardino Seeking Social Work Experience and Practicum Supervision

Hello everyone,

I’m moving to the San Bernardino/Riverside area around November or December to help my mom while she recovers from surgery and to help with bills. I’m currently in an online MSW program at the University of Kentucky and just finished my first year. I also have a BA in Sociology from UCSB and over two years of experience in ABA as an RBT/Behavioral Interventionist.

I’m looking for job ideas or places to apply that would help me build my social work resume while I’m in school. I’m especially interested in roles related to children, families, behavioral health, case management, schools, hospitals, nonprofits, or community services.

Does anyone know of agencies, county jobs, entry-level social service positions, paid internships, or organizations in the San Bernardino/Inland Empire area that would be good experience for an MSW student? I’m also hoping to find a place that could provide MSW practicum supervision or be open to supporting me as I complete the second part of my practicum. I’m not sure which agencies are flexible with online MSW students, so any recommendations would really help.

Any recos for good periodontist or dental implant specialist?

Hey everyone, looking for recommendations for a good periodontist or dental implant specialist.

My dad been dealing with ongoing dental issues for years and now may need implants/bone grafting for a couple of teeth. This is all pretty overwhelming, so I’m hoping to find someone experienced, patient, and not overly pushy with treatment plans.

City Council Approves $2.28M City Hall Lobby Overhaul, Moving Clerk's Office to Main Floor

Moving the city clerk to the lobby would definitely be helpful, but that's a big expenditure when we are turning down grants to pay for basic needs like housing.

Dispensaries in Riverside?

Hi! I recently relocated to Riverside (UCR area) for work and need to find a reliable dispensary. I've checked out a couple of the bigger chain locations, but honestly looking for something with better pricing and quality. Ideally somewhere that includes tax in the price so there's no sticker shock at checkout. Open to driving a bit if it's worth it. Thanks!

Video of the incident on the 91 this morning

My mom was up close to the incident this morning. They called upon a swat team to assist removing the guy from the vehicle. A police officer did ask her to roll up her window before they used tear gas to make sure she didn’t get affected by the gas. I still am wondering what the hell this guy did to cause this whole ruckus
Audio is my mom’s commentary of it hahaha.
