Has anyone else had this problem? I see people on this sub talk about this game all the time and how easy it is at the beginning and how you need expansions once you figure it out (I even went all in and bought 2 expansions we obviously havent touched because it is everything we love on a game and I thought for sure this was the it game for us) I have been so dedicated to figuring out this game. I don't mind work to figure it out. We are playing on the most dumbed down and simplified version of this game. I don't think we are idiots, we play a lot of complex games, we invited friends over who also play complex board games to help us, and we just. can. not. win. I can't beat this game on stupid level, how are you guys beating this game with the normal rules? I feel like I have to be doing something wrong, but after watching explanation videos, play through videos, playing the mobile version, and studying the rulebook, and searching this sub, I just don't know what else I can do. I love it, I even love that it is hard, but I think we have tried playing 10 times in person and I've played dozens on mobile... and not winning. My husband was done with it after 3 games and I kept begging him to play and I somehow squeezed 7 more games out of him.

I guess it's fine if we are too stupid for this game, but I feel like we are missing some concept or strategy that *should* be obvious, but isn't to us.

Not sure if this is a question, just a rant, see if anyone else feels this way, advice needed, or need a nod to just give up. Lol
