So I just joined my local squash club, having not played for around 10 years, and even then it was only amongst friends on the station squash courts in the military.

What can I expect from my 1st club night next week? Is it a free for all and anybody can play anybody? Will I even get a match as the new guy?

I know the basic rules, but I will brush up before I attend. I also have a racket, some balls and non marking shoes, so I'm covered in that area too.

How do these things normally work? UK based if that makes any difference.

I just wanted to get back into the sport and make some new friends, with a view to getting better and eventually being able to compete in the local league and tournament structure.
