My in laws watched our dog for two weeks because I just went back to work after 7 months of maternity leave, and he was not getting enough attention from us. He had an amazing time while there. They live near the beach so he got lots of walks and even learned how to swim, which he hated previously.

We picked him up and realized he had a bark collar. Our dog doesn’t really bark much, certainly not in the house, but theirs does so they just got a collar for both of them because they were feeding off each other.

I’m reading that bark collars don’t really hurt dogs but I just can’t help but feel like this is a decision we should have been consulted on. Ergh. Thoughts? Should I just be grateful and let this go?
