I tested the same ad creative with ₹500 on Facebook vs Instagram. Huge difference in lead cost.
Spent ₹500 separately on Facebook feed and Instagram feed using the same creative, same copy, same targeting and same offer.
Expected similar results, but Instagram CPL was way higher than Facebook.
Results:
- Facebook:
- 11 leads
- ₹22 CPL
- Instagram:
- 2 leads
- ₹96 CPL
Main things I noticed:
- Facebook users actually opened the lead form more seriously
- Instagram got better engagement but weak conversions
- Short-form “aesthetic” creatives didn’t convert as well as simple direct creatives
Target audience:
- Local audience
- Age 25–45
- Service-based niche
Still testing variations, but this surprised me honestly.
Has anyone else noticed Facebook leads becoming cheaper again recently?
