I woke up on April 23rd, 2026 to message that my Facebook account has been disabled due to a linked Instagram account that has violated the Community Standards for Account Integrity. I filed an appeal on Instagram immediately. In less than half a day my appeal was denied and they stated that my account that I could not get into was found to still be violating the community standards and that it has been permanently disabled and deleted. Their community standards policy states that I would receive warnings before permanent disablement, which I never received. My 20 year old Facebook account is also disabled with no way for retrieving it. All my connections gone, all my pictures gone, no way to retrieve. Tried to create a new account and that one was disabled in a matter of minutes. I didn't do anything wrong and had been a Facebook member for 20 years without any intercessions and now permanently banned without any recourse. I have lost connection to people that I only have contact to through Facebook. For 20 years they used my information to build new products and then they can steal all the information without any warning and permanently ban me and I can't ever talk to a person. The AI algorithm that is being used to flag violations is incorrectly flagging accounts and then it is the same one that is reviewing the appeals. At this point I don't know what to do. Anybody else experience this and have any advice?
