I left practice A six months ago because my counselor at the time left. Prior to this, I had my counselor switched five different times in the course of three years at practice A, and I was done with it. I followed my current counselor to practice B, where I have been for these six months.
A couple days ago was the first day practice A called me since my counselor left to "get me set up with a counselor". When someone's counselor left, they would put their clients on a waitlist until they could properly divide them amongst other counselors (this happened often). I told them I followed my therapist to another practice. They asked me what practice I went to, and I told them I did not want to disclose that. After that, they just said, "Okay. Bye." and hung up. They seemed incredibly offended by that, and I'm wondering if what I said was unusual. I wasn't rude about it, I just simply stated that I did not want to disclose that information.
