First time betta wrangler

First time betta wrangler- 5 gallon, panted tank with anubias, java fern, moss balls/ ring, planted lava rock, coconut shell hide, driftwood, betta tank mate toy, 5 cherry shrimp and three micro Thai crabs. Everyone seems to be getting along. Betta is super spicy he’s really active and he charges me a lot

Hi everyone- I was just at a pet store (I can’t name it) and The beta fish conditions were horrible. I found two separate dead betas and one of them had a fungus growing on it so it had clearly been dead for a while. I understand the water is brown because of the tannins from the leaves, but the water was still horribly dirty. I brought the two fish to the front and they gave me some bullshit excuse about how the manager has been out yada yada. I told them that the conditions of the fish of the beta fish containers are really bad and they didn’t seem to give me an answer. I am planning on calling tomorrow to see if there’s a manager there but I just wanted advice how to handle this situation as a customer and how to report this facility.
