About a year ago, I was being intimate with my then girlfriend, but I changed my mind in the middle of it and told her I wanted to stop. She made a bad joke saying something along the lines of “I don’t care” and then kept going for a few moments before I pushed her off me. Her reaction after wasn’t exactly angry, but it was clear she was upset and would’ve kept going had I not stopped her. I know it was brief and isn’t anywhere near as serious or severe as other posts in this subreddit but after an incident involving her recently (We see each other occasionally at parties and such) it brought back the memory of that happening and I don’t know if what happened to me was sexual assault. I don’t want to consider myself of victim of something so horrific without making sure it was actually that.
