Hi wonderful moms :) si I have a wonderful 3.5-year-old—smart, curious, and generally a good listener—but he just doesn’t eat. He’s not interested in food.

We’ve tried everything: letting him choose the menu, cooking dinner together, letting him sit wherever he wants, allowing him to run around between bites, cutting afternoon snacks, always including at least one food he likes on his plate, serving dessert at the same time, not putting too much on his plate, etc.

But at the end of the day, we have a kid who just doesn’t eat. He’s simply not interested.

He’s thin, but he’s following his growth curve (around the 55th percentile). He’s been on iron supplements for the past 4–5 weeks because his levels were very low. We’re being followed by a pediatrician and an occupational therapist.

I’m feeling a bit discouraged by how little he eats in a day.

Any other parents going through something similar?
