Hello everyone, I'm new here. im so glad I finally found a big group!
I was diagnosed with bipolar II in 2016 and started taking lamotrigine, lithium carbonate, and quetiapine. I was fine afterward, never experiencing depression or mania.
However, starting in 2020, I began to suffer from anhedonia. I wasn't sad, but I wasn't happy either, and I lost many interests because they didn't bring me enough pleasure, including ejaculation.
By the end of 2023, my condition had really worsened. I quit my job and stayed home, then tried magnetic therapy and electrotherapy, both ineffective. I then took trazodone for a long time and venlafaxine for a period, also without success.
Until early this year, I finally realized the negative impact of excessive mood stabilizers and SNRIs on my emotions. Now I've stopped taking SNRIs , lithium carbonate and only take 50mg of quetiapine because I can't sleep at night without it. As for lamotrigine, I'm unsure. I previously reduced it to 100mg and experienced significant anxiety, so I went back to 150mg to calm down.
My question is, what effect does it have on mood, motivation, and pleasure? If it has a negative effect, I'll continue taking 150mg, but if it has a positive effect, should I increase it to 300mg?
Then there's bupropion, which I just started taking two days ago. I hope it works :(
