I have a Crucial X10 6TB. It has USB C Gen 2x2 20 GB. My research suggests “that a laptop with USB4 supports Gen 2x2 in the spec and should therefore support Gen 2x2 in reality, but not always it say, ask the vendor to be sure.”

It is so confusing I can barely understand it and vendor ai support doesn’t know. Does anyone know of a laptop vender that supports USB C Gen 2x2 either directly or with a USB4 port? I am doing video editing with Resolve, 16 inch Intel or AMD (my research suggests AMD is more likely to support Gen 2 x 2. NVIDIA, 1 TB. Windows.

Given that several portable SSD use Gen 2x2, I got to believe I am not the only one looking for USB C Gen 2x2 support in a laptop.
