Holy. I went into this particular piece after my most recent replay of the iconic horror game known as 'Silent Hill.' I am very seasoned in my taste of horror games and movies, and have read many older horror novels. I usually do not flinch or get scared. I can rewatch the Evil Dead remake again and again and I never get even disturbed, but what I just read felt like a cartel execution of the most disturbing and deranged proportion. I had found this book in an old drawer, and on a whim had dedicated myself to reading. I just finished chapter four, and I genuinely had to take a break after Norm's death. I almost cried and vomited, but I was in a public space, so that was not permitted to me for a little while. I cannot wait to read the rest, and I think that David is lowkey a great dad. I would wager, though obvious, that the Arrowhead project has a hand in the entire conundrum. I will now begin chapter 5. Wish me good luck.

Heya! Im here to say my hot take about this game. It is a masterpiece able to stand toe to toe with Resident Evil and Silent Hill. It, unlike many horror games, isnt mainly defined by the stalkers and enemies, although they are a big part. this game is more defined by puzzles and atmosphere. Many segments have no threats, especially in earlier chapters, making it feel more like a portal game. and when the enemies do appear, you still have to do puzzles, just with extra layers. the game thrives on its atmosphere and making the player sit with nothingness until stuff actually goes down. its structured as a more traditional survival horror with puzzles out of portal and atmosphere out of bioshock. occassionally it cracks a joke to relieve some tension. It is a pure experience meant to bring both fun and horror, as a game should do. Its fun and scary. many games such as fnaf remember to be scary, but forget to be fun. The simplicity of the gameplay truly allows each chapter to build on the last without feeling overcrowded. overall, this game is a masterclass in horror gaming. But what are your guys opinions?
In this game you will play as John Vance, an engineer at a science facility underwater on a planet populated by human life. Whether this planet is earth or not is up in the air. You are at the deepest point in the facility during an outbreak involving a new marker discovered in a trench. The game is in first person, has low fov, screen blur, and stamina. The weapons, instead of being put in a separate wheel, are within the main inventory. Old weapons from DS1 make a reappearance, along with the custom guns from 3. The custom weapons use a separate ammo type. The melee returns, with a twist. Depending on where you are looking, you will do a different melee attack. Also, you can now crouch. The facility is very claustrophobic and small, along with long hallways and enemies that are able to break through glass. The zero gravity segments are replaced with underwater segments. The final boss would be a cthulumorph in a city on the surface. Please give your thoughts and opinions on this concept, along with expansions upon these ideas if you have any of your own. also feel free to think about your ideal ds4.
