Missing Scholarships

It’s my first year of college and I’ve been figuring a lot out on my own. I’m a commuter living at home, which has made it harder. I recently checked my school’s website for scholarships and saw most deadlines have passed, even though it still encourages you to apply. Now I’m really stressed about how I’ll afford next year or if I’ll need to take out bigger loans.

In high school, I had scholarships that helped a lot, but this year I haven’t heard anything. I know I could’ve done more, but I didn’t realize deadlines were this early since they were due in the summer before.

Who would be the best person to contact about this. Would it be my advisor or the financial aid office? Am I just screwed?

I’m a cashier, and last night at work some people from my old high school (I graduated last year) came in and were being really disrespectful and taking forever deciding on switching items when I had a line. Then they accused me of having an attitude and started swearing at me and calling me names. I asked how I was giving them attitude, but after that I just ignored them.

They then made a group chat and kept insulting me. I noticed this while on my break. It escalated to the point where they were threatening to jump me and asking what time I get off work. I only sent one message in this group and just asked them to leave me alone, but they kept going and even added my boyfriend to the chat.

My manager knows about everything and is talking to the store manager about getting them banned.

I just needed to vent. I’m really tired of this childish stuff. It was truly such a little thing and I don’t know how it escalated to the point where physical assault was brought up. I feel a bit nervous about going to work, but I’m mostly frustrated and overwhelmed.
