Do I have a 24/7 pilot light of no
So i replaced my thermostat and had my roommate shut off the heating and ac breakers while I did so. The had him turn it back on after. I was asking someone if I had a high efficiency heating system or standard because the thermostat asks me and he had me run downstairs and check. While I was down there I thought I smelled gas and I looked in the little window and I couldn't see a pilot light on so I shut the gas switch off. The system is currently on cooling mode. I know absolutely nothing about HVAC shit and dont wanna blow my house up if I can help it. Can you tell by the photos do I need to open that thing up and light it manually or does it have like an auto light/glow rod thing that only comes on when it gets a heat request?
