I personally think there is a big hype machine trying to convince the world that what is essentially a very useful tool is sentient and will replace us all. I'm not seeing it though. I think some people who have invested a lot of money in AI infrastructure want to protect that investment.

What do you think? Does it seem like hype to you? Or have you seen some things in the real world that are indicative of massive changes to come in the workforce?
