Yes in this trying time, many of us are afraid, feel hopeless, and some of us are falling into deep depression.

I am sick of this inner feeling of inaction and I personally want to do something about it.

Let’s remain united for the DREAMERS and immigrants that fought very hard for us to have these very necessary and needed protections.

Sign and share if you care. We can build traction with our congressmen and women with strong participation.

If you are afraid or “want to remain under the radar,” remain silent but I promise you we already are very much already on the radar and I refuse to be deterred, silenced, or discouraged.

Keep Dreaming ❤️

Yesterday I posted in the r/Daca subreddit to announce my frustration of lack of solidarity within the community for those of the 39 banned countries.

It is upsetting to see the mods of the channel reaffirm my beliefs of only “majority voices” deserve spotlights in that channel.

To message me as a mod and say I am crying over a situation that is “not that serious” is pathetic. If you are reading this, do not let anyone ever make you feel like your voice/thoughts are a waste of space or time.

I am struggling to understand where the true solidarity in this community lies because lately it has felt very every man/woman for himself here. I am Nigerian, immigrated here at the age of 1 yrs old with my parents, and I’m now 28 yrs old. I am facing the same struggles as a DACA recipient as the rest but this pause has brought an added level of uncertainty to the road that lies ahead for me. I worked very hard to reach a career that supplies me with an income of plus 6 figures and and just as I am beginning to reap the fruits of my labor, everything that I have ever worked for is stripped from me in an instant.

I do not see nearly enough outrage on this country ban as I think is warranted. If Mexico was included I guarantee that this whole country would be turned upside down in protests and grassroot movements/actions. When will the large majority start to speak up on this injustice. Yes we are facing delays but at least there is certainty that eventually your case will be looked at and properly adjudicated. I understand life is not fair, but please understand that this group of DACA is not monoethnic by any means.
