So for the past few months I have been having image retention issues with my OLED monitor. I have figured out the issue was with my laptop affecting the monitor when plugged in via HDMI, as I test with my friends PC and it worked fine for him. One problem my laptop caused was the weird formation of this blob looking thing (with its worst being in the first picture).
When my friend had my monitor before, he was able to get rid of this “blob” thing by connecting it via DisplayPort to his PC and just running the screen cleaning a few times.
Right now, I’m building a new PC and I’m preparing the monitor by plugging it into my PS5 and doing the screen cleaning every once in a while. As you see, I was able to get rid of most of it, however this bit left seems to be stubborn. What should I do?
