Does anyone know where to dispose of hazardous waste outside of city limits?

I am cleaning out an old house and have lead based paints, cans of butane, and various other things that probably shouldn't end up in the GVL water supply 🙃

I've looked online for an hour and it seems like an endless loop of call this department, get transferred to that division, only to be transferred to a number that's disconnected.
