cool cafés?

i live around the mauldin/greenville area and i'm struggling to find cool places to work on stuff/draw and chill. i'm kind of a freaky looking guy (facial piercings, wicked acne, flat affectation) and some of the places around here i get dirty looks from both other patrons and the folks behind the counter. i'm pretty visibly ELGeeBeeTee so i assume that also may be a factor.

regardless, where are the most accepting spaces to just hunker down and get work done on my laptop for two hours?

Divorce attorney recommendations

Recently caught my spouse cheating, so I unfortunately need to end my marriage. Does anyone have a recommendation for a good divorce lawyer? The other threads when I searched all were over a year old. Should be fairly straightforward, no kids, only thing shared is a car loan. Thank you!

Go support Menkoi!

If you’re ever near Woodruff Rd and want ramen, come check out Menkoi! Hokkaido is always packed (at least in my experience) and Menkoi is just up the street and so cozy. I don’t work for Menkoi nor am I affiliated in any way, but I’ve been coming here with my dad since I was little. It’s a really cool place with great service. The ramen is so so good and warm and I always leave happy. I came for lunch after church today and the parking lot was empty!!! I was so surprised!!! Come support them.

Eastside YMCA - for adults too? Or more family/child oriented.

So I’m looking for a gym for myself (30) and my parents(60s). The closest gym to us is the YMCA Eastside. Now we have not been in it in years. Since we are all adults and tbh very large ones at that, we are trying to find an adult gym that

- is older adult friendly and not just teens and 20 year olds

- variety in the type and size of people who go there (don’t want to be the only fat people there, it’s anxiety driving enough)

I know since the schools are nearby it’s very popular for students and daycare and after school programs and summer camps too.

Anyone have any wisdom?

Flat parking lot for motorcycle practice

I’m looking for a flat parking lot that has times when it is usually empty to practices on my motorcycle. I’m new to the area and usually look for churches since they are often unused some week nights and Saturday mornings but everywhere I’ve looked so far is not flat. Any suggestions?

Yard Work

I moved into the area last month, and this is my first time having to maintain a yard. My last house was a townhouse that had landscaping included. I'm finally building up an arsenal of tools so I can attempt to get it looking halfway decent but I don't want to be rude to my neighbors (they all seem like nice people).

When is it not okay to run noisy things like the weed-whacker? Sundays seem exceptionally quiet around here, so I figured today is probably off the table, but what's the general guidelines?

I don't have an HOA and I'm fine with my neighbors thinking I march to the beat of my own drum (cause I kinda do), but I don't want to be "that" person, y'know?

Horse head license plate

Up close, you can see a guy holding a flag. It's objectively terrible, but whatever. On the road, all I see is the head of a blue horse.

Screen Printer (for t-shirts) Recommendations

Pretty much title. I'm looking for a decent local screen printer to get some t-shirts made for a local non-profit. I've used a few places before with mixed results so I figured I would try some place new this time.

Anyone know what is being built at the interchange of I-85 & 101 (exit 60)?

They have been clearing a ton of land right off the interstate. Same plot of land where Bass Pro was going to be. Anyone here have any info?
