So I’m going down to Clearwater for a family trip around the 6-13 of may. I wanna fish when I’m down there but I’ve literally never ocean fished before (besides reeling in a rod while trolling)

So I have no clue to go to a pier or surf fish from the beach. I have 3 medium heavy rods 2 baitcasters and 1 spinning rod, and I don’t really wanna grab a heavier pole unless, literally everybody tells me I’m gonna need to.

I know I want to throw little live fish or shrimp I’ve seen people catch snook, and all sorts of stuff.

But I want to know, will I be fine just using my medium heavy rods to surf fish from the beach? I’ve got 20# braid on 2 poles and I think 14 mono on the other. Each with steel liters I believe.

If I do need a new rod, and reel, what do you recommend, on a lower end budget but still will work great for decent sized fish 5-6 times a year when I’m down there.

(Sorry if I worded any of this like an idiot😂✌️)

Thanks in advice for tips/recommendations
