Unconventional apartment hunt tips needed
Hi all! Please don’t downvote me for this, but I am looking for an apartment in Gold Coast, lakeview, LP, Wrigley (entirely because I will be going to school in River North and want a direct and short commute via brown line - I promise I’m not just thinking these are the best neighborhoods, I’ve lived in many others). That being said, I am really struggling to find an apartment. I’m looking for an update, large (700+ sq ft) 1 bed with hopefully less than 3k rent. My main issue is that I try to contact and no one replies. I’ve tried Padmapper, Domu, Corcoran, Fulton Grace, Redfin, Hotpads, you name it. It just is taking like 4 days for someone to reply even if I find an apartment within an hour of it being posted - and then the apartment is gone😭 does anyone have any tips? I’m offering 2 year leases if interested and literally sitting on these websites like a hawk.
