Irish lyrics
Hi everyone,
I'm a music producer and I've been using some vocal samples from Apple's Logic Pro loop library called "Irish Lore Voice 01–04". They feature voices singing what sounds like traditional Irish Gaelic (possibly sean-nós style).
I'm trying to find out what is actually being sung. When I listen closely, I can make out something like:
• "down to the stareing..."
• "own be own the skipper..."
• "chack tu the duven..."
(Obviously these are just my phonetic attempts at writing what I hear — apologies if they're way off!)
Does anyone recognise these phrases or know which traditional song or poem this might be from? I'd love to know the actual text and its meaning.
Thanks so much!
