I’ve been trying to understand how often my brand actually shows up in responses from tools like ChatGPT and Google Gemini.

Not talking about traditional rankings, but actual mentions when users ask things like “best tools for X” or “recommended platforms for Y”.

So far, I’ve tried:

• Running multiple prompt variations
• Comparing which brands repeat most often
• Checking consistency across different LLMs

It’s been a bit messy to track manually.

I did experiment with a couple of tools that attempt to measure this kind of visibility, one of them was LLMClicks AI mainly to see mention frequency across prompts.

Still figuring things out though.

Curious how others here are approaching this:

• Are you tracking prompt-level visibility in any structured way?
• Any frameworks, tools, or methods that actually work?
• What signals do you think matter most for getting picked by LLMs?

I ran a small experiment this week.

Tried multiple prompts across different LLMs like ChatGPT and Google Gemini:

• “Best tools for [niche]”
• “Top platforms for [use case]”
• “Recommended solutions for [problem]”

And tracked which brands showed up repeatedly.

What stood out:

• Same 4–6 brands dominated almost every response
• Even when prompts were slightly changed
• Some of them weren’t even ranking #1 on Google

So clearly, LLM visibility is traditional SEO

From what I could tell, these factors mattered more:

• Presence in multiple “best tools” listicles
• Brand mentions across different sites
• Consistent naming + context (not just backlinks)

I also checked a couple of tools that try to measure this kind of visibility (basically tracking how often a brand appears across prompts and competitors). One I explored was LLMClicks AI**,** mainly to compare mention frequency and prompt coverage.

Not concluding yet, but it did highlight how little visibility some brands actually have in LLMs.
